Helm
Maybe on Luna
Rad a Trest is 2005. And yes, Pitchfork and Stylus, tells us more about the saviors of metal, Sunn0))) and now Xastur or whatever.
Damn, Barista, what about Mr. Beast do you hate so much?
Agalloch have been getting a lot of attention 'cause they're an easy mark for hipsterization. Like Kayo Dot also.
xasturd
Since when was Helm a member of the "Hipster" police?
Besides the fact that i work for the label, I think that record is pretty good, not as good as the leviathan split, but descent.
A bit more seriously, I call bullshit on stuff like Witch and Sword and whatnot because Heavy Metal depends on sincerity to be potent. A lot of this new stuff from 'reformed heavy metallers "I always loved Heavy Metal, man!"' reeks of duplicity. Xasthur aren't one of these bands, I just don't like their music a lot and I find it odd that they're publicity pushed so much for what they are.
I realize this new type of 'extreme music' listener with no appreciation on how things like that came to be and why they are as they are won't be going away any time soon, but it's really alarming when music that has been considered outmodded by hipsters for tens of years now is being remodelled to appeal to them by the artists themselves.
I mean, its the fucking internet mang...lets just be nice.
