So this band just blew my mind...

I had never heard of 'adagio' until I saw reference in an old HCAF thread.
Used my p2p friend shareaza to download some of their stuff...
My, it's one of the best bands I've listened to. It's got some classic gothic like orchestrations mixed with metal, like rhapsody, only heavier with better(and more! ) solos and darker. Reminds me of symphony x but much more interesting...

I was just about to post the same thing in that "Recent Musical Discoveries" thread! What a coinicidence I just bought both of their cds after I heard some samples on their website. Imagine classical progressive metal in the same vain as Symphony X.....and the guitarist kicks major ass!

I saw them live last year, they're pretty damn cool.
Although I don't find them to be much like Rhapsody. Which i still consider the coolest band ever.

Adagio is badass. Sucks that David Readman is no longer in Adagio....I liked his voice. Though, I haven't heard the album yet so I can't say that Gus is better or not.
