Okay. S'cool. Can deal with that!! :D

With that in mind, check this out if you haven't already:

Recorded and mixed by myself. Mastered by Jarkko, and he did a really fantastic job! When I got the mixes back, I uploaded his mastered version to the Soundcloud link. For the rest of the album?? Well, you'll just have to wait wont you!!

:fu:

Cool.
But just to clarify, I think we're not posting self promo here (that stuff still belings into the rmm), but we can post "check out this band, it rocks" here... Of course sometimes it's difficult to distinguish.
If it takes overhand though (not talking to you drew, just a general remark) we'll probably have to put it all into the rmm again, the last couple of days have been ridiculous. (again, not talking about you drew, just in general)

Sounds really nice man. Just listening on crappy speakers but really nice ambient music. Reminds me of Tool especially that snare haha, sounds nice though.

Would LOOOOVE to work with you haha!!!
The only thing i want is that the vocals could be more direct and not so ambient and instrument like, if you know what i mean. If you have a side project i would love to lay down some vox :)

Shout it out when the album is out (in the offtopic section :p)

This song is great! I really love the production as well.

Any chance there will be a digital download option for lossless formats when the album drops?

Ah sorry dude, I guess I misunderstood. Feel free to move to the RMM area!

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)

I have to say, this forum has been a big source of inspiration and information for me. I want to thank Glenn and Ermz especially, as their guides put me on the right track to getting the tones I wanted out of the drums. Recording drums in a big warehouse environment was a challenge, but a very rewarding one. The fact that I could leave everything natural and not sample replace is as much a testament to the guides I read on tracking and mixing drums as it is to my guesswork!!

But yeah; thanks to everyone who contributes to this site. You are what make this place special.

Oh and Crillemannen, I never originally wanted to record this album, the first one was hellish. I always wanted to get someone else in, but we didn't have the budget. But you never know :)

The production was actually really easy this time around though. Lots more thought and preparation went into it before we even approached places to hire them for recording!

Still to come: drum samples! I will be putting those up online at some point, processed and unprocessed. Don't have any cymbals I'm afraid :(

I think we're gonna do a remix competition too next year too. I'll let everyone know about this stuff once it is ready :)
