So what about John Bush?

I'm stoked Danny's back with the band. he's got to be the most underrated lead guitarist in metal. I know they chaged styles when bush joined. but i always wished they do a heavy album again with the Sound of white noise lineup.

"persistance of time" changed my life. it's a landmark that marked my descent into the metal world. No to take away from Joey, But i always loved Bush's voice.

I think the band will end up tiring of each other, and the newer lineup will come back once again, but in my heart I wish that the proposed joint singer tour would happen. How bad ass would it be to hear joey on the old songs, and john singing the new shit and then them doing an encore with Ball of Confusion!!!!!!! Fuck yeah!

I hope Bush will return... I doubt it but I hope he does..Nothing against Joey he's a great guy and an amazing singer. But I would love to see JB back up front same with Rob C........

I think your all fucked in the head!
THIS IS ANTHRAX! Please guys keep this lineup in tact. This is the way its suppose to be.
"so what about John Bush?" What about him? he should rejoin ArmoredSaint and open up for Anthrax.

AMEN. I COULDNT HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER MYSELF. FUCK THE NU-ANTHRAX. I DONT THINK THEY SUCK WITH JON ITS JUST NOT THE BAND WE KNOW AS ANTHRAX. THIS IS THE CLASSIC ANTHRAX THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE BEST METAL BANDS EVER. JON WILL BE JUST FINE, HE IS A GOOD VOCALIST IN ARMORED SAINT WHERE HE BELONGS

Let's face it. They shouldn't pretend a THIRTEEN YEAR CHUNK of their career didn't exist in favor of a small eight year period of their career. They had Turbin, they replaced him with Joey, who was better, then, they replaced him with John, who was better.

Funny how there are more classics on "among the living" than in teh whole BUsh era back catalogue combined.....

And don't give me crap like that's not true just ask 9 out of 10 metalheads! sorry to say "drop the ball" or "random acts of senseless violence" are NOT Classics!

And FYI John wasn't better, let's just say he was "different".....better is a matter of taste.

A matter of taste, that's true. However, I, and many others here, would say that Random Acts is a classic. Remember, Rolling Stone "Greatest Albums of All Time" number 20.....

Saying Drop The Ball is not a classic is just the same as saying One World isn't a classic. Plus, howmany songs from SOE and POT would you consider "classic", besides the two cover versions?
Almost every band had their "classic" album back then, even though they did not change lineups at all. Do you find any classics on Stiff Upper Lip? Or do you think something from Angel Of Retribution will be considered classic in a fifteen years time?

I indeed think NOT! though there's some pretty good songs on both metioned albums especially the latter....

and yes "random acts of senseless violence" is NOT a classic nothing from that album is. I think apart from "vol. 8" is was the biggest mega flop ever...(I can of course never argue if it's your personal highlight....)

I would say only very few songs from SOE too...indeed "antisocial" and "be all, end all" but apart from that not really, that is why I referred to "Among the living" but the same goes for "spreading the disease" if you like it that's up to you, but there's no denying they are utter classic!

I think BTW "persistence" does have quite a few classic songs (in my world, got the time, belly of the beast, time), as does "sound of white noise" (only, room for one more)...but the latter is the ONLY Bush era album that really has some historical significance...

it's just BS what mr. Deege says, and no one can deny ANTHRAX was forged in the 8 years they were in the "classic" line up.

In that respect you can compare pretty good to as well the AC/DC as the PRIEST situation....they both made HUGE classics with their "classic" line ups (not original because like ANTHRAX they had different singers when they started out in the form of AL Atkins and Dave Evans) and the first album after the singer change was (in AC/DC's case in Priests case it was "Just" OK) a huge classic and afterf that mediocre albums....with the accasional good one (Like "Angel Of Retribution" or "The Razors Edge....").....
