SOCCER NATION!

well in epl news it looks like Tevez will be signing with Man City. Which really sucks for me cause you want your favorite player to be on favorite team not playing for their cross town rivals, but now i have a reason to watch all the ManCity matches as well as the ManU ones, the more the better.

The Man City team is starting to look pretty good on paper....plenty of attacking players
Eto (maybe)
Robinho
Tevez
Santa Cruz
Benjani
Bojinov
Bellamy

a few highly paid bench warmers next season

decent midfield in

Ireland
Elano
Barry
SWP
Kompany
Petrov

will still take them a while to gel though....not expecting them to crack the top 4 for a couple of years.

i have seen two of the gayest photos in football this week

Catwalk Ronaldo

Traitor Owen

I like Owen. Can't stand Ronaldo. I personally think Kaka will make Ronaldo jealous in Madrid. I can see him getting all pissy if he doesn't get more attention than Kaka. It'll be interesting to see it.

As for Owen, I'm sure he could've picked a better team to defend, but oh well..

So last night, the real Ronaldo scored 3 goals. 3 brilliant goals. So glad to see he is still killing the opponents, game after game.

Is the CONCANAF Cup not that important to the US team? Bradley is coaching, but the regular national team players aren't starting?

No, the Gold Cup is not a high priority this year as the focus is on the final round of WC qualifying. While there are a couple of "regulars" playing (Ching, Cherundolo), it's a good time to get the younger players some experience in meaningful matches. I'd bet (though I'm not sure) that Mexico and Costa Rica are probably sending similar "younger" teams.

Also, the winner of this year's tournament does not get the Confederations Cup bid - that goes to the next (2011) Gold Cup champion.

Hey guys!

I'm a proud fan of FC Barcelona. A pretty normal thing considering that I live (so far) in Barcelona.
And Messi owns you all. Period.

Good luck with Zlatan this season. Possibly the best player in the world.

He's good (top 10 probably)....but still hasn't performed on the big stage yet....in games that matter.

Liverpool get #19 this year...despite losing Xabi Alonso (probably our best player last year)
