SOCCER NATION!

Watching the replays on it this morning. He did come out of nowhere - perfect header down to the goal line just inside the post.
I still don't believe he scored... His next vacation should be to Honduras - they'd treat him like royalty. I read Hondurans were carrying USA flags in the streets last night.
I hope Honduras does well in the WC. I do not wish the same for Mexico, however.:heh:

Liverpool have the Arse 2morrow in the Carling Cup...but both teams will probably use a majority of their reserve team and the bench warmers so its not such a big game really.

News today that the reason John Harkes was booted off the '98 USA squad (who had an epic fail at WC '98) was that he was bangin' Eric Wynalda's wife. What a douche!

I read that today.

I love this part "...his wife Amy had multiple encounters with his teammate, John Harkes. These acts occurred on the Wynalda's dining room table and in their children's playpen..."

The odds are definitely in Team USA's favor of qualifying in their Group. Most likely second to England, but that will be fine with me, as I love both squads to death!

Ok, all of you "Fake Ronaldo" fans out there, I couldn't resist this:

The guy SURELY is the BEST.

I still like Ronaldo and am certainly hoping he does well with Portugal in the WC, but I don't like him as much since he left Man Utd. My eyes have been opened, it seems.

do not like Ronaldo since he left, but I still like Tevez and have really enjoyed watching City play this year.

See, I don't understand this whole "I don't like this or that player anymore, simply because he doesn't play for my team anymore." I think as long as he doesn't join a direct rival (like say he goes from Roma to Lazio, Real Madrid to Barcelona, etc.), there's no reason to hate the player.

I have ALWAYS stated on this Board that the whole love for Cristiano Ronaldo/Man U. thing was a big "jump on the bandwagon" type of thing. You guys are starting to prove me right in a way.

No, I was a Man Utd fan long before CR ever joined up. I still love Beckham and he's been gone for a while now.

Thats nothing to WOOT!!! over. :(

3 times this season L'Arse have beaten the 'pool.....which = 3 days of my son giving me shit.

The only reason i even half way liked Christiano Ronaldo was becuase he played for ManU. I always thought he was a pre-maddona, a very talented pre-maddona, but a pre-maddona nonetheless. as for me pulling for Tevez even though he plays for City, there are some players you just love to watch no matter what team they play for, i.e. Brett Farve in football. (but i dont think I would still like tevez if he had gone to liverpool)
