SOCCER NATION!

Neither can I. And, if the US plays against England like they did against Turkey, the US will have a nice run to the top of the group. :kickass:

I have a feeling the US will actually do well this time around. I love how they played against Turkey this past weekend, it was nice to see them play like that.

Plus, you guys deserve a rematch against us, especially considering the heartache we caused you at the Confederation Cup final last year.

Simply put, the USA ran out of gas in the 50th minute. Miraculous that it was not 6-2. But, the real question is: How many goals will you put past North Korea?

 I really wonder the same... Can you imagine, though, a major upset with North Korea beating us in the first game? I don't think one could be more embarrassed than that.

I wonder if they're going to score any goals at all during the World Cup. I almost want to bet that they won't. Drogba, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo will be placed on their National Enemies list.

The North has a strong defense. I agree that the offense is non-existant. The defense is another story.

Can't wait for this to start. Got my DVR and coffee maker primed for a month of non-stop use.

Slovenia will take second spot....agree about England on paper...but Capello has made a huge difference.
Last time England played US (albeit a friendly) it was a walkover...with basically an England B squad.

Agreed that Capello makes the difference. I still want to see it to believe it.

Big development: Apparently Drogba is out of the World Cup. He had a pretty bad elbow injury today in a friendly match against Japan and was taken to a hospital. Sources are reporting that both him and the doctors already admitted he is in no condition to play the World Cup.

I am both upset and happy about that. Upset because I love watching Drogba play, he's truly an awesome player and he's at the peak of his career. Waiting for the next world cup would not be good for him, who knows if he'll ever have another chance like this. Happy because Brazil's playing Cote D'Ivoire in the first round and now I don't need to worry about Drogba scoring against us.

I hate to hear that about Drogba. Not that I am a fan of his, but you are right he real is at the peak of his career and to miss the World Cup now is truly Heartbreaking for him.

On the same note I saw and facebook that Jozy Altidore has an ankle injury and is questionable.

Another injury to be assessed today: Rio Ferdinand, English captain injured one of the ligaments in his knee. Results of tests coming back from a hospital today.

Well i just watched USA's last game before the World Cup and even though they won, they played real poor at points. Looking fearfully awful at the back and not being able the take advantage of what should have been walk in goals. But over all they still won, and I am very excited about the start of it all in Six Days.

GO US!

Finally, a reason to root for Brazil!!
