Wow... Yesterday's sadness turned into happiness today. Germany 4-0 Argentina.

To those who don't get it, Brazilians hate Argentina when it comes to soccer (I mean, hate them). Seeing them get humiliated and thrashed by Germany in such fashion makes life so much more beautiful. After all of their media provoking last night, we actually finish the cup ahead of them. :lol:

Everybody has been underestimating the Germans and the Dutch straight into the quarterfinals, and they've been whipping ass. Uruguay and whoever wins the next match (Spain!) will hopefully have wised up...

I've been watching since the start of the WC, but haven't felt the need to contribute, as there are plenty of other places to discuss it as well...
 
I've been watching from the start - when I'm not working of course... It's definitely been a great WC.. I'm an even bigger soccer fan because of it and await the EPL start in August even moreso now...
 
I thought it was going to be an all south American WC, but now it looks like it will be all Dutch.
 
Dutch Delirium! LOL. According to the announcers, this is the first time it's been back to back all European finals since '38. Bye pesky South Americans, hee hee.

Same as everyone who posted above. I've been watching since the start, but often don't think to come to the lounge and post. Just caught my eye one day.

Your comments would've been much welcome earlier on. We've been having a good time here. Not to mention, it's probably one of the longest if not the longest thread on the ProgPower forum.
 
Actually, I have a Dutch niece and nephew and we've been rooting on the Netherlands since the US crapped out (wasn't exactly too shocking, really.) So, I'm getting pleasure out of seeing them cheer on their team.

Cool thread. Wish I caught it earlier. Just starting visiting the lounge more regularly.

Come on bro, just because people haven't posted on here before now, doesn't mean they aren't real soccer-fans.
I was born with a soccer ball between my feet - just ask my mom, she still complains about the pain ;)
