Looks like Paul was right.

Since it's been started (and Glenn is apparently on a run ), here's another good one, not from the world cup, but good nonetheless:

I think I want Netherlands to win but I have a Barca jersey in my closet I might bring out for the final.

I hear you. On my father's side, we have Spaniard and Dutch blood. I really don't know who I want to see win the game out of those two. I honestly feel 50/50.

That usually applies for the rest of Latin America, since for the most part, they don't really have high hopes for their own teams.

ZIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG!!!!

It's so funny to hear some of the channels in Spanish here in the US, every time Spain played they would say "one of our teams plays today".

Which is also part of the reason why I will not watch Brazil x Any Latin America countries on Univision. They're so "COME ON HISPANICS, WE ARE ALL UNITED, UN PUEBLO SOLO CON UN IDIOMA SOLO!" that makes me sick.

I don't watch games on Univision cause of their god awful commentators and that "Golazo, azo azo azo" idiot.

What a terrible game. My face hurts from repeated application of palm. Neither of them deserved to win, honestly...

The Final was a disgrace. The worst Final I have ever witnessed in my 38 years of following Football. At least in 1994, Brazil and Italy had an excuse: 125 degrees in the Rose Bowl. Holland came out like 11 clones of Kimbo Slice. Their thuggery destroyed a good matchup. Spain played well and deserved the win.

I mean, come on, did anyone see de Jong's karate kick on Xavi? Where did de Jong think he was? In the Octagon?

I was a little surprised to see The Netherlands play a physical, almost ugly, style of game. I don't think they needed to resort to that.

Really? The Dutch are kinda known for playing a physical, although most of the time, very efficient game. If anything, I wasn't surprised at all. I was actually surprised that Germany and Uruguay didn't play as "dirty" as they're used to. Uruguay, as a matter of fact, was the biggest surprise of this World Cup. I am so glad that they went far, and Forlan deserved the "Golden Ball" award. It's really nice to see Uruguay back to the elite.
