SOCCER NATION!

The 90% renewed Brazil plays today against the USA. I was in NYC this morning and almost extended the trip to Jersey to catch the game.

You will see a much more offensive Brazil, with Pato, Robinho and Neymar up front, and the newcomer Paulo Ganso as the attacking midfielder. Expect a very different team than the one from the WC.

Also, my favorite coach in the world is now coaching Brazil. Best of luck to him, Mano Menezes, to Brazil and also to Bob Bradley and the US squad. It'll be a nice game to watch.

8pm EST on ESPN I think. :)

US played Ok, Brazil played great, Neymar is going to be a name that we will hear alot more of. As far as US progress, I was actually impressed with Altidore last night, he is one of the players that never really seems to work hard or do well, but he did ok last night, the US is going to need him (or any striker) to really develop if we want to make it on the world stage.

So my promise of following the league in the US after the World Cup is going good. I went to my first MLS game yesterday. Chicago Fire vs New England Revolution. It was one of the funnest times I've ever had at a sporting event. Fire won 2-1. I sat with Sec 8 which is for Fire supporters standing room only. They had drums, chants and we heckled the opposing team's players everytime they came near us.
This will not be the last game that's for sure, I already have my Fire vs L.A. Galaxy tickets for Sep. 4th. :)

They gave away free flags for the first 5,000 people there and I proudly wore mine as a cape the whole game haha.
Now I just need a scarf.

What kind of flag and where was the arena? Looks really cool. Glad you had such a good time. I'll have to check the Bull's schedule and see if I can catch a game.

The venue was Toyota Park, a stadium built for the Fire.
