My theory is that influence is how our personality and atitude forms... however intellectually based, due to genes, we can only learn to a certain extent, or comprehend to a certain extent. Its a combination of both.

Also, I think in this thread we have a very simplistic view of intelligence so, whatever we determine by the end, it won't really be useful unless we talk a bit about what we mean by "intelligence".
