Soilwork - "Departure Plan"

I was giving Soilwork's new lite-metal album "Figure Number Five" a rare spin today... and found myself entranced by the ballad "Departure Plan"... it certainly would fit into the guilty pleasure category... and is quite wussy... but I think it's rather good anyways... Speed actually uses his natural voice for most of the song... and sort of reminds me of Aaron Lewis of Staind...

How DARE you insult the almighty evergrey!!!! And to compare them to soilwork??? BLASPHEMY!!!! And evergrey's ballads are not wussy... hammerfall has wussy ballads (speaking of guilty pleasures...). evergrey's are emotional and powerful. plus they kick ass.

P.S check out Euphrosyne at http://www.euphrosyne.net I think they are cool too. Maybe some similarities with Evergrey??? but anyway a good band.

Evergrey is far from "wussy"...The Great Deceiver is as aggressive as anything I've heard in melodic death lately, and their slower songs can be incredibly powerful, particularly the chilling second verse on Unforgivable...

I've lost a lot of interest in Soilwork. NBC and FNF weren't bad imo, but they don't even come close to APP or CHM. Something's wrong when people start comparing them to Staind...

Yes, I realize that the bands shared a keyboard player for a while...and while Sven is a talented musician, some of the sounds on FNF are just distracting...
