I still have to learn to know this amp, this comparison clip was just with the "same" settings on all the amps...there will be some awesome clips following, believe me! :D

Lasse you should make a database on your website with all these clips of different amps. That would be insanely helpful for everyone since the clips are perfectly mixed. Ola's clips are fucking awesome but some people prefer the way you dial in the amps.

I definitely prefer the Soldano however the 5150 to me really isn't too far off considering it's over a third of the price of the SLO. The Soldano is amazing though but I like what ALL of these amps can do based off of scenario settings for the parent mix. With that said, I really like that you did same settings for each kit!

So far, what is your impression of what the Soldano does differently in a high gain setting than the 5150 and EVH? Without me being able to move knobs, I guess it's hard to know how much "less or more" each one has compared to the next. Nice addition to your stable too man. Between you and Ola, the Soldano gas is probably 10X what it was a month ago from the Hot Rod+ clip and now this.

Thanks
This is a hotrod100+ as well (with a depth mod though)

The soldano sounds a bit chunkier/thicker than the 5150ies and the pots are very useful over a way bigger range than on those amps (treble for example can be set between 1 and 11 on the soldano without the amp sounding too thin or wooly.
The soldano is a bit middier than both the other amps, but not in a bad way I think.
There's zero fizz on the soldano.
I still love the 5150ies though, and I always will, they're just more of a one trick pony and more limited to that modern sizzly sound (which they do great).
For that I prefer the 5150 over the 5153 tbh... For all rock and clean stuff i like the 5153 much better than the 5150.

Am absolutely loving the soldano!!!

Awesome comparison, agreed on the harsh 5153 though
Hotrod allready sounds sick, keen to hear what it will be when you know it as well as the 5150

Hated the 5153 in this, 5150 was a bit better but the soldano just slayed. Chunky, defined, no junk. Bit muffled perhaps but thats easy to EQ.

Listening on my A7's
Order of prefrence:
5150
Soldano
5150 III

Although with some processing i feel the soldano would take the top spot

I call bullshit on half your answers, the differences between the 5150 and the Soldano are BARELY negligible at best. The 5150II however I agree was harsh......

Make sure you listen in 720- people, AMAZING how much the 5150 actually sounds like the Soldano!

The 5153 would probably sound a lot closer to the other 2 with the gain down a touch and the presence way down. Presence on 9 seems like total overkill. I've never needed to go above 6-7 on my EVH with any of my guitars.

I like:

5150
Solando - Seems a bit darker than the 5150 and has a bit more mids
5153 - Has alot more presence than the other two making it sound fizzy. Also lacking quite a bit of low end chunk compared to the other two.

But I feel that with a bit of tweaking they could all sound very similar.

I disagree. The Soldano sounds quite a bit better IMO. I'm not sure it's $1500 better but given the choice I know what I'd pick.

I agree theres a difference the soldano is noticeably dark and is much smoother but to me i much prefer the 5150
