I think some of us were not so secretly hoping that it would be some wierd form of life. remember when they poked it with a stick and it supposedly groaned?

no i don't remember that. i just figured it was a whale butt or something.

these things are hoped to be the remains of a giant squid. the remains mostly resemble the trunk of something like that.

but a squid would share almost no recognizable dna with a whale so i guess it's not the kraken
