Some "complete" Audio learning alternatives?

By the title I mean not only schools (which I am looking at, just not exclusively), but maybe some online courses or even a full online degree kind of thing, but if it has like real skype sessions with a teacher or whatever. I sure have learned a lot from the internet and this place specially, but sometimes I feel I´m really lacking some of the more technical, complete kind of theory part in order to understand better what I´m doing and having a wider and more flexible range of options and possibilities. In fact I´m inclining a bit more on doing something related specifically to Live audio, cause it´s what I seem to be lacking most in, but any kind of ideas are welcome.

I looked at Sae here in Spain, but 5000 Euros a year is a lot, plus I would have to move to Madrid for at the very least 8 months and wouldn´t have time to work so it´s not easy. I´m married but we´re young (no kids) and we could move anywhere, but we have to pay our own bills, zero help from parents or family at this point so moving away is not easy in the sense that we would struggle finding new jobs (or my wife is willing to work while I study if necessary, but that would probably make things tight on cash).

What I´m thinking of mainly is some kind of slightly official-ish (I know a "Real" audio engineer title will be very expensive and in the end we all learn more from real life experience than school, so in my ignorant and humble opinion I don´t think it´s THAT neccesary) title/degree which grants me a good understanding of all (or some, such as FOH specifically) areas of Audio and helps me feel much more "free" and comfortable when working both in a live and studio environment. I have the hopes of making my audio work a steady income and maybe even a complete living in the future, so I want to take my basic education on this seriously enough for me to actually be competent.

Try and get some work experience dude; an internship at a studio or something. Also, read Mixing With Your Mind.

+1 to both recommendations!

A lot of people won't turn down a chance to get free labor, especially if you're professional, already have some experience, and have a passion for it!

Thanks guys, I definitely will try to get some work, the drummer in my cover band works live shows often so I'll bug him to let me go with him. I'll google mix with your mind, never heard of that one before. I already made a list of books because Amazon finally opened up in Spain, I have Modern Rec techniques, mastering audio, the mixing enguneer's handbook. Any other essential reccomendations? I already have and read the art of mixing by that Gibson dude.

Internship, as already said. I myself actually have left AE bachelor school (actually, it also dealt with video technologies, but you can choose the subjects) exactly because I felt that what I was learning from RL experience (which had started somewhere around that time) was a lot more beneficial, and an AE diploma/degree doesn't mean a thing (save for some cases), which is especially true if you want to work in a studio or own one.
Over here SAE is even more expensive (7.5k for a 3-semester year), and while you certainly can learn good deal of things there, it would be way better for you to invest that money (or even half of that sum) in the gear, read books+internet sources on your own and apply what you read in practice. "Learn something new every day" is actually a really good saying :)
