I've been dinking around with the new METAL demo for Amplitube and I like it!! So I tracked this meaty riff for some feedback.

It has the same problem I've always felt with Amplitube: it sounds a bit distant (like presence would be missing entirely) and digital.

I think it sounds hella nice, actually!
I haven't compared it to any other guitar tones side by side, but my first impression is a good one. Need to test it in a mix of course ...

Oh god when did this disgusting NorCal word make it's way over to Germany?
I agree about it maybe sounding a bit distant, but it's actually pretty cool for just one track! Is there verb on that, or does it naturally have that much 'spread?' If it does, that'd probably sound pretty muddy in a mix, double or quadtracked.

I had a bit of IK's CSR plate reverb at the end of the signal. I was just playing around with it in a VST chainer host and that host will stream to HD anytime you come up with a catchy lick and don't want to forget it. So it is wet and widened. I should do a dry track and stick it in for comparison.

Yes, but Amplitube isn't
They should just do a software amp that combines our favourite preamp emulators, Voxengo CurveEQ with a lot of amp EQ spectrums and an impulse system :Smokin:
