Some mixable stuff for you guys

'Ello!

Around September 2007 me and my (Melodic Death/Thrash Metal) band recorded a demo at a friends little home studio. The demo is out a long long time but I thought it would be fun for everyone too mix some stuff (and i'm very curious what the results may be) the recordings are not too good (my opinion) i wasn't too good at the time being and our guitarist had a really really shitty guitar amp.

just a tip, if you use RAR compression, you can reduce the filesize (and downloading time) a ton. in the advanced compression options click Force audio compression.

The overheads are there too now

I know AudioGeek, but after ages of searching where i can upload more than 5 mb free i thought was pretty good. The only thing is that it allows me only 60mb per file.
I agree that it would be simpler too have all in one RAR file Better luck next time!

you could also put just one or two files in one RAR (like the two overhead, or mic + DI)

Unfortunately not The guy who did the recordings and me never thought of quad tracking (I was more of a live mixer, i learned A-LOT the past year about studio mixing and tricks) what I did try though is to copy and paste the DI track into another track and move to 2nd DI track about 6 miliseconds

dude, apart from the distortion the Bass DI sounds incredible!
what was the chain? what was the bass? preamp? any pedals?

Guitar DI could be better though, sounds like passive pups.
