Iceland
hello my name is Bessi and I live in the West side of Reykjavik( the oldest part of town) in Iceland. I dislike the weather here pretty much(especially the wind) and the prices are high + there could be more trees here, but I think the nature can be awesome and we enjoy pretty high living standars hereþ
age : almost 23(tomorrow) ( fuck I feel old and like I haven't done anything with my life!) I live with my parents and 2 siblings.

I´m working part time at a mental asylum and studying spanish(god knows why... didn´t know what to do after high school/gymnasium... ) I might want to study to become a nurse in couple of years( haven´t got any better idea!)

hobbies:
music: among my favorite artists are: Vintersorg, Borknagar, old Black Sabbath, Slayer, Soilwork, Devin Townsend, Opeth, Pain of salvation, Enchant, Dream Theater,Iced earth, Moonsorrow, Nevermore, In flames, old Metallica, Böhze onkelz, Pantera, Sonata Arctica...
beatles, ocean colour scene, travis, Nick Cave... nowadays it´s 90% metal
my CD collection is growing fast and it´s becoming a problem!
languages :
can speak some german (make people understand me),
danish hmm.. (I´ve forgotten much of it + Danes are incomprehensible in speech, we are obliged to learn it here in school) a little swedish( I think it´s much clearer than the other nordic languages) spanish: it´s far from perfect though, french: forgotten most of it, english fluently
sports:
I´d like to ride my bicycle, hike ,mountain climb, play football, excercise more often. however I´m lazy as fuck!
I sometimes watch football but I´m not always enthusiastic about it mostly the english league; I kind of support Chelsea/ Newcastle
I´d like to know how to ski and skate
seeing movies:
there is so much crap out there and it´s expensive so I prefer to rent them
internet
I´m a frequent visitor to the icelandic metal webboard/zine and sometimes write album and gig reviews and bring the latest news in metal... sometimes I think I´m a net junkie
food:
I like chicken and indian food, chocolate .. favorite beer: Erdinger wheatbeer. can't think of anything more
travel:
I love to travel It just brings meaning to a monotonous life. Lack of money, friends and initiative on my behalf hinders my to go all over the place...
I want to go on interrail, work in Scandinavia via nordjobb, live in Sweden or Spain, himalayas, South America, Australia, America/Canada among other things
reading: I could read a lot more, I am frequently to lazy to just start and there is tons of books I want to read like novels, philosophy, history ,poetry, religion, travel literature,
some magazines I like are terrorizer+ national geographic
going out occasionally I´d like to go out with friends but all the bars are boring filled with smoke and crappy music, instead I go to metal gigs nowadays and quiet cafeterias and don´t drink that often ( and not heavily).
sleeping and doing nothing:
argh!! I´m wasting my time all the time, but it feels good!
politics: I consider myself to be a liberal socialist/leftist, I feel that the state has some obligations to do to make society more humane concerning infrastructure, health care, schools and helping those in need... and I feel people are free to do whatever they want except hurting others. I believe in tolerance & ehm...gay people, "violent" music lovers and fundamentalist can and must coexist *cough

a recent pic of me ( from september, I´ve been growing my hair for a year now)

Well my name's Dan, since last september I live with my girlfriend Sophie in Boulogne pretty close suburb from Paris. I'm 26 (27 on december 31st)

My fulltime job is graphic designer, I work since 3 years for a company but now I feel the need to to find another company, so I'm currently searching for a new job.

My hobbies are quite wide : I like playing (european) football, surfing the net, I actually draw a lot, I write reviews, live reports and interviews on www.progressia.net. Like you might have guessed, it deals with prog rock, metal and what goes around. By the way I forgot to sayt I planned to work on my own comic book during 2004.

Music I like : Queen and Frank Zappa (all of the above), Toto, Extreme, Rush, Enchant, Pain Of Salvation, Opeth, ACT, Andromeda, Nightingale, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Ark, Freak Kitchen, In Flames Dark Tranquillity…*the list is long and so my cd collection is !

Languages : English, spanish, few hebrew and very very few swedish

Sports : Football and soon rollerskating

favorite movies : The Matrix, Reservoir Dogs, Pup Fiction, Sleepers, Batman and a bunch of french movies

Food : japanese, jewish, and french but no pork !

Travelling, been few times in Israël, couple of times in the Netherlands and once in Sweden and the US and I want to go back there in both countries !

Reading : US comic books and metal magazine…*long time I haven't read a good real book in quite awhile, I should do like sophie !

going out : just to eat with friends or to visit them. I also go to the movies and museums.

Politics : I do'nt think this has much interest here on this message board, besides my point of view would obviously be different, since we don't have the same political system so…*

here's a pic of me with sophie and someone everybody on this message board knows it dates from last october 18th in Paris, France

Hey this is really cool, good idea Bessi ( Djo man! )

This is interesting for us to know the people we talk to!

OK Mine is already on here in the Bio section although we need to update those! Dan cool picture, who is that dude man?

Me is Jürgen, 35, from a south-western part of Germany.
Birthday presents have to be in my mail on December 27th.
One cat, no job at the moment.
I´m a half teacher (elementary school) and Diplom-Motologe (which would be something between a psychotherapist and a physiotherapist - kinda special education for hadicapped people).
I plan on finishing my teacher education in spring - which would last 2 years.

Used to play volleyball for many years, but did not find a new team yet here at my (quite) new place.
Like to ride my bike and jogging - both not regularly.

Hobbies are hanging out on music related message boards, buying CDs, reading funny fantasy and sf, watching TV, waiting for weekends where I find the time to visit my friends I had to leave behind a few months ago.

I´m not very happy at the moment.

Dave, natch.

Not really into Disco, but it was my nickname back in my schoolin' days thus it carried over into my online persona.

25, Washington State in the US, dig just about all variations of progressive music and a select group of artists in other absurdly compiled genres.

Rock climbing (or rather, rock WALL climbing), mountain biking, hiking, computer gaming, tennis, and vegitating.

My individual talent is the ability to repel women from 100 feet without even trying.

My name's Andrew. I'm 18 years old and I live in New Jersey but go to college in Pennsylvania.

I play drums mainly but I also play guitar, keys, and bass, and sing and am working on writing an album so I can become a massive success and get rich and finally have the success and popularity I always dreamed of... :loco:
I write in the vein of Porcupine Tree/Marillion/Enchant/Megadeth(yeah I know, what the hell is this doing here)/Opeth/Radiohead...but it's a bit simpler than all of those mainly because I'm not good enough yet to do more complicated stuff.

My hobbies are music, biking, rock climbing, poetry, history, and everything I can get my hands on really. I love being outdoors and I hate people who talk on cell phones a lot. I really want to travel to some other countries and just go hiking or whatever there.

I just got devastated when I found out a girl I was really in love with didn't feel the same way about me. My life is basically a mess right now but I'm hanging in there, and with the help of music and God really, I'm slowly pulling myself back up. Follow The Sun was the first song I played after I talked to her last and it just felt right...beautifully touching song. I wish I could just express what I feel for her the way songs like these do...who knows, maybe she'd change her mind or maybe not. I'm a very active yet shy person. It takes a lot to get close to me but once you do, I'm the best person you'll ever meet which is why it was so tough...we were such good friends before and I had to go ruin it by opening my mouth. Who knows if I'll ever get that friendship back with her?

Well, that was more than you guys asked for but really, music helps me out a lot. Juggling 9 Or Dropping 10 pulled me out of a depression last year(mainly due to the song Colors Fade really) and now it looks like Enchant may help again with it. I really love this band

Name: Tiago

Prospects for the future: Getting a job, getting a real life and just be happy, travel arround the world (especially australia, i love those cagurus), seeing an Enchant show (when i get my study's done and get a job i will go as far as USA to see you play), starting a covers band
Politics: always vote in the less likely to win, laws and actions should be discussed in a democratic circle with all parties, letting a single party rule your country for some years just because they had absolute majority of the votes is just pretty dangerous ...

hobbies:
music: Prog! More specifically, prog-metal, symphonic prog, fusion. Also, classical, jazz, classic rock, hard rock and metal.
languages : can speak English pretty well. Good thing since its my only language. I do know a couple words of Spanish, like the all important 'Donde esta el bano' (where is the bathroom?)
sports: Baseball, Football (american), basketball, Hockey
seeing movies: I live for seeing movies. I'm dying to see The Return of the King, the movie event of the year.
internet: Message boards, Drudge Report, Fox News, Box Office Mojo, dozens of music sites, and many, many more.
food: Italian, any. Steak, fillet, medium rare. Beer, Guiness. Chocolate, Godiva truffles.
travel: LAS VEGAS! Need I say more? The greatest fake city in the world!
reading: Mostly non-fiction, I love political books. I have been reading all the Harry Potter books lately, I just love fantasy, and these books are not just for kids.
going out: What is that? I do see some ballgames, baseball, hockey, basketball and football. Concerts, several a year. Movies, 20 to 25 a year. Bars, maybe a couple times a year, I now find them boring. Strip clubs, too often, especially for such a conservative like me (see below).
sleeping:
I can't sleep, I'm an insomniac! Think Edward Norton in 'Fight Club'.
politics: I'm pretty much a right wing conservative, and brave enough to admit it! I basically want the government to leave everyone alone, that is freedom. Small government: Low taxes, strong military, law enforcement, schools, roads, that is about it as fas as government involvement. Having worked at a government agency, I know how bad it is. I'm both fiscally and socially conservative.
Religion: Catholic -not terribly strict -see strip club comment above! Still, my faith is important to me.
