Brilliant show, the best I've ever seen. If its coming your way and you have a slight interest in them, check it out, its flawless.

This tour also proves that Bruce is a major part of the bands success - he is the consummate frontman - i don't think he stopped moving except for when the crowd was cheering so much he couldnt begin his little intro for Mariner.:heh:

Eddie rules!

:kickass:

I saw them on the MOLAD tour, and the show was pretty disappointing until they finished the album. When they started playing the old stuff the entire crowd woke up and it was pretty much some of the best 20-30 minutes of my life...the idea of a whole concert like that (and general admission, too) is pretty much too good to be true...
My friend is a member of the whatever club that lets you get tickets mad fast as well as a chance to go on stage...

I thought it was gonna be almost all stuff from thier first four albums, it wasn't. Although that wasn't really a bad thing.

The mosh pit didn't really go off much but that was to be expected, and who cares what other people are doing, right?

Bruce was fucking awesome, as were the rest of the band. I only caught a few glimpses of Nicko due to his drumkit.

You're right, Priest of Evil, he didn't fucking stop. He even went straight from Fear of the Dark onto Iron Maiden (SCREAM FOR ME BRISBANE) it was legendary. I though Fear of the Dark was done even better than at Rock in Rio. Only thing I noticed missing was the intro to The Trooper.

It was an absolutely amazing concert and, like so many people have said, the best I've ever been to.

Not coming near me...
I flew halfway across Australia to see them. I also managed to see Ed Force 1 on the tarmac as I was taxi'n out - that was really cool!

I dunno, the guy behind me cared enough to tap me on the shoulder and complain that my hair was getting in his face:lol:yeah Im sorry, please remind me, Iron Maiden are a metal band, right? :erk: My headbanging continued :headbang:

I saw 'em in Sydney(on the Saturday) and the crowd was the loudest crowd I've ever been a part of. I kinda guessed it was gonna be sick night when, earlier in the evening, the pub across the road was playing Run to the Hills and they dropped the faders out for the chorus - everyone in the packed out pub and in its vaccinity was singing along. That was awesome, the show before the show.:kickass: So many metal heads everywhere...

Damn!! That must have been awesome! :headbang: I hope to see them on this tour as well.

Did you enjoy Vanishing Point? I heard they got stuff thrown at them and people were chanting Maiden while they played. Shitty thing to do but it happens.

LA show is Tuesday night, sadly Pabla nor I won FTTB or HCW contests. I hope to have pictures to show you all next week.
UP THE IRONS!!!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Vanishing Point that got stuff thrown at them but the other Aussie opener band who were not very metal in the first place AFAIK.
I'd love to see Vanishing Point open for Maiden but we're getting some metalcore act instead...

It sure was, it was overwhelming in a good way, it was like another world. I imagine this is what Wacken feels like... I had goose bumps on my arms as I headed for the pub listening to everyone singing along, then came the bummer - the line to get into the pub - so I did what any thirsty metal-head does and jumped the fence! :heh:

I completely missed all the opening acts, I waltzed in and down to the front in the middle of Aces High, on account of the two cups of Johnnie Walker in my hands.

Sydney had Behind Crimson Eyes & Lauren Harris. BCE was booed and jeered mercilessly as expected. It was sheer lunacy on BCE's part, attempting to woo the Australian Maiden crowd. Judging by reports from friends in Melbourne, I think Vanishing Point was enjoyed.

I'd see this if it came this way, however is the set that incredible?!
I think the hook here is that they are using a great stage set and the fact that they are consistently good live.
It was incredible if you have never seen Maiden live before, more so if you've waited for 18 years for them to come back. It was a stroke of luck on my part they toured with same stage set that I missed seeing all those years ago.:headbang:

BTW the tour shirt designs are amazing but pricey. There is one for every album cover, I was going to pick up the much publicized tour poster but I had an 11th hour decision to go for the Somewhere In Time design, I'm wearing it at work today.:)

Nine days for the event, yesterday by mere chance I found a long sleeve "Piece Of Mind" tee with Iron Maiden written in one of the sleeves, so I'm set for the event :D

Today at a social event I found out my two "nephews" (sons of my cousin) are into metal and they're going to the concert too, sadly not to the same area, but now I have some youngsters to spoil

OH, my bad.. thanks for clearing that up... I didn't know how many openers and so I assumed it was VP.

^Love the shirt, especially the chains down the sleeve!

That Piece of mind shirt is fucking awesome, Wyvern. I've been looking for a good long sleeve shirt that actually has something on the sleeves for ages now.

I swear it was total luck. I was looking for a Maiden shirt some weeks ago since the only one I had was worned out long ago (now I take care a lot of my bands t-shirts). I ended purchasing a Black Sabbath one and stopped looking for Maiden due to lack of time. I was on this mall on my way to the cinema with some friends when I spotted a place selling posters and I saw the Rush (man & star) one, so I approached the store and a guy was folding the t-shirt at the precise moment, it was like an omen you know? So I pick it up asked the price and handled the plastic LOL. The fact that had something on the sleeve also draw me to purchase it.

Here's officially insane, people are already camping near the stadium to be the first in line to enter the venue. I will meet my friend Henry at noon in my house on Tuesday and from there we go to the venue, doors open at 16:00 and the concert starts at 20:00, will see how it comes out.
