Hey all this is my 1st post, I haven't got a POD or any other digital guitar hardware so ive been getting into the whole impulse thing, Ive tried various impulses such as Splatts Marsh 1960A T75 and Marsh JCM 2000 and Plexi, the results haven't been fantastic and i was hoping some of you guys have clips of tracks you have used impulses only on the guitars so i could take a listen and maybe some tips would be helpfull too.
Ive been pluggin into my delta soundcard direct then going through Voxengo
crunchessor, Guitar rig 2 using the cat distortion only then into pristine space where ive been using the impulses, ive also tried some eq matching but the guitars always sound lifeless and the high end never cuts through a mix,
what am i doing wrong ??
oh im using an Esp Viper-2005 guitar with act emgs.
any help, hints would be great.

4 self prod tracks, guitars were though a jcm 2000 mic'ed off axis with
a beta 57, hehe drums were recorded in a garage but they sound not too bad.
