Who's seen Spiderman 2? eh???
I have... but I'm not giving a review... because I'm biased! (Sam Raimi rules and any movie with Bruce Campbell... I'll see... yeah... even the bad Sci-fi Channel movies... )

How about Fahrenheit 9/11? I saw it opening night... and again... I won't give a review since I believe the movie does preach to the choir (people like me... bleeding heart liberals), but I have seen and heard stories from friends about conservatives going to see it... I think everyone should see it... not because I hate our current administration, but because the film does raise some serious questions that everyone should be asking... Go see it and make up your own mind...
If you're not registered to vote... do so before the election... make it a bit harder for Dubya to steal it again... ;)

and do so over a month before the election so you can actually vote.
 
Movies I need to see:

Spidey 2
Hellboy
Shrek 2 (gonna take my son to see it tommorow)(ok, its a poor excuse, but the only one I have)
I, Robot (read the books)
Ya Ya Sisterhood (if you think I am serious, you need some kind of medication or something)

I did finally manage to get ahold of Bubba Ho Tep, which was good! I loved the story, and thought it would have still been interesting without the soul sucking zombie.

Also, has anyone seen Bad Santa? Fuckin great! I say that because my wife actually liked it, and laughed her ass off so much I had to pause it so she could catch her breath! I think that's the first time she's ever done that to one of "those movies I bring home". Also saw Secret Window right before that (yeah, it was a Blockbuster night). Also a good one, but as usual, it was a Stephen King movie, and his books are always better.....oh well. Still waiting for the Gunslinger movies to be made, could be great with the right budget.

Yea! Spidey & I, Robot!! Shame on me still haven't seen Kill Bill vol2 and Farenheit 911. I'm so behind in my filmgoing........:yell:

The Dead Zone and Carrie are the only Stephen King books that I ever thought translated well to film.
LOVE the Gunslinger series!!! I vote for Clint Eastwood to play the title role!!!!
 
I think Clint's a little too old. Plus, he said he's done acting, just gonna direct now.

Costner loves westerns, he'd be ideal.
 
Naw, Costner ain't bad-ass enough, and Eastwood is, but he's too old. I would like to say Bruce Campbell cause he's done the cowboy thing and kinda has the look, but he's a little on the goofy side. You know who I think would be good as Roland? Either Hugo Weaving, or Vigo Mortenson. I thing Vigo would be a better choice as he does a good slightly disturbed/brooding/haggard/lone wolf-type character. But Hugo has alot of gun battle and fighting experience from the Matrix movies, and has the right physical stature for Roland imo. But I would be happy with either. I just want to see the movie(s) made!
 
As promised, and I know you are all highly anticipating this review, but I did go see Shrek 2 today. It was my son's first time to the theater, and he behaved better than I thought he would. He was a little freaked out at first because of the big ass screen and the sound volume, but he enjoyed it......

The movie was really good, and Pixar's animation just keeps getting better and better. I would say its better than the first one, with alot more quick little jokes and gags. Great story, great animation, and great writing.

Fahrenheit 9/11 does present some interesting questions, like the fact that Saudi Arabian families (i.e. the Saudi royal family and the bin Ladens) financial interests in US companies is staggering (around 7% total, including the Big 5 media companies that control and distribute out news and information to the American public, including and probably not limited to AOL/Time Warner and Disney) so it should come as no surprise that the Bush administrations (this one and the previous) have been doing all they can to support Saudi Arabia and not asked questions of families (primarily the Bin Ladens) on September 11-13 when they allowed everyone to leave the country by plane when all flights were stopped, including to those who needed emergency heart transplants (there's been talk on the Howard Stern show when Michael Moore was there promoting the film that a flight was grounded on September 11th that was carrying a freshly collected human heart for a heart transplant patient. I don't remember whether or not the person died). See this movie. Then, see it again. Hopefully, they'lll have it on DVD before the election.

As to the Dark Tower, it would be nice to see movies made of those books, but the amount of filming that would be required would take them about 21 years to make all 7 books. Viggo would be the better choice for Roland since Clint looks like he can barely walk on his own anymore.

:OMG: 7 books???????? Crap, I gotta get to Barnes and Nobles! I didn't know there were that many........
