Hey, first of all i wish you guys a happy new year.

This is a piece of a song i recently started, but i am not quite satisfied with the overall sound of it.
Also, this is my second mix, and on the first one I'm having the same issue.

For the Guitars and Bass i used the POD HD500, and the drums are SD2.

I don't know where I'm doing wrong exactly, if it's either the mixing or the general sound i got out of the Pod.
I'd say it's the Pod, but what could i do to make the Guitars have a more punchy sound,
or is it the bass tone which is making them sound weak in general?

There you go,
have a nice day :)

Alright, but i find that my mixes are way too bassy, thats why i set it pretty low.
Also, with a louder bass the sound seems hollow somehow, and i don't know what to do to fix that, like there's no real punch behind it.
What about the toms?

That's how i EQ'ed (i used 24db slopes):

Guitars:
- Low Pass at 150Hz
- High Pass at 10.000Hz

Bass:
- Low Pass at 50Hz to make room for the kick
- a little boost at 100Hz
- took out the mids ~300Hz
- High Pass at 7000Hz

Kick: (i used multiple EQs but that's how i tweaked it in general)
- boost at 50Hz
- cut ~230Hz
- boost at ~7.700Hz

Copy the bass and use an amp sim plugin. Distort it and bandpass it, move the band pass around and monitor on cheap earbuds and move around till yoi csn hear the bass on em i mean the bass as in the onstrument not the freq
