....Glenn Hughes version of Nights in White Satin?

It's on some lame soundtrack - the movie Stealth. It's bitchin' though. I've always been a fan of that song, and Glenn sings the crap out of it as you might imagine. Just thought I'd mention it. Just ran into it myself.

Actually the album that originally featured that Moody Blues song is called "Day's of Future Passed". And its an stunning album!! Many people consider it the first symphonic rock album. Its a nice integration of classic music and high quality late 60s pop music.

It was released in 1967 and is really beautiful! One of my favorite 60s album.

Wiz,
I have indeed heard it - but only recently, actually. I love it to death! One of my all-time favorite tracks covered by Hughes - can't beat that!
He's also done an excellent cover of Aerosmith's "Kings and Queens" (probably my fav ASmith song).

And, as Hawk stated, it's a great song from a great band. The Blues are/were, in my opinion, before their time. They introduced the marriage of symphonic the element with rock, something which is being done to death in metal these days. Very revolutionary band.

As I see it, they were the first true "heavy melancholy" band....creating moving, emotional tunes with thick atmosphere. Anathema, the Gathering, etc., all owe a nod to the Moody Blues.

I own it. I used to be a big fan in my pot smoking high school days (daze). I only meant that the Glenn Huges version was on the soundtrack....

Agreed on the last sentiment here. Also, it is one of my favorite tunes too. Just timeless and beautiful.
