Soundwave 2013

There are so many options that there should be enough on the bill to please most folks. I'm very interested to see who gets announced.

Yeah, not really impressed but takes a lot to do that these days.
plus despise festivals because of psychological reasons.

If A Perfect Circle do some sideshows may go see that instead.

I don't get the bitchin' surely you can find enough good stuff there to have a good day. I personally hate mass groups of people so that is the only thing that puts me off.

I would love if V.O.D. put on a side show here in Brisbane, I would have to turn up to that

Now that I have more festival experience after going to Download I'll know how to do Soundwave this year. Went last year when Maiden headlined and didn't realise until later what a missed opportunity it was for me. Didn't go this year but now wish I had. Definitely going next year.

Saw four of the bands at Download - Metallica, Anthrax (also in Cardiff - best gig I've ever been to), Fozzy and While She Sleeps. Looking forward to learning about a bunch of the bands on the line-up.

I'm seriously disappointed by this lineup. Might still go if other decent bands get added. I've never seen Metallica and would like to.

At Download recently, Metallica were the best I've seen them out of 7 odd times since 98. They have a new stage show since then which is apparently their best ever, so they will definitely be worth seeing.
Promoter has said there is two more big name metal bands plus others. Rumors are Slayer and Megadeth to make up the big four...

Yeah, I don't post here much anymore but I was all over Twitter about going to Download.

We ended up leaving Metallica's set early, once Enter Sandman started. We were standing up the back and the sound was absolutely diabolical. It honestly sounded like your next door neighbour was playing a Metallica CD at a moderate volume. Would have gotten closer but it was a nightmare trekking through the mud. Mark and Bev stood up close for Sabbath the following night but I was up the back because I had no interest in seeing Soundgarden and so hung out with some pals at the second stage for a while. The sound was a bit better than the night before, but not by much. Hopefully the weather is fine in 2013 and we can walk around freely.

Am honestly surprised at how much bad will is still aimed at Soundwave from the cancellation from what, two years ago now.

They could pretty much resurrect Dimebag and people will still find a way to crack the shits.

Granted I'm someone who doesn't support the tour but I also haven't bagged it out yet.

I'll be in the country this year so I'll probably go.

VOD, Kyuss, Tomahawk, Anthrax, Metallica, Shai Hulud and Garbage are enough for me.

That said.

All tommorows Parties has Godspeed! you black emporer the next weekend so I'm going to need to make a choice.

If I do Soundwave I'll probably go to Brissy.
