Just wondering if anyone here has heard some good S.african metal....yes we do have metal,good stuff at that.
We have awesome bands here unfortunately they don't get international recognition, except for a few like Seether.

Uh, no. White people account for far less than half of the population (I believe it's somewhere between 20-30%).

OK, you're right lol...Wikipedia says black South Africans make up around 80% of the population there. I just associate South Africa with rugby and cricket :[

Yeah, for some reason the white people appear to be overrepresented there...

They have laws in place now to ensure that natives have places in Cricket at least, I believe that is due to the elitist nature of the cricketting clubs which used to exclude a lot of blacks due to wealth.

Pretty decent as far as brutal death goes, at least I like what I've heard so far. They're having a few line-up issues at the moment, so I hope that doesn't wreck it for them.

the reason for this is that the majority of black guys don't listen to metal, they prefer kwaito, rnb and hip hop.
Out of the 45 mil population only +- 5mil are white, it is africa after all.

I just got the latest album of KOBUS "Swaar Metaal" and that absolutely kills !!! It's been a long time since I heard such a "heavy" album. This is a world class album !! I heard some other SA bands but they don't even come close to Kobus!

The reason of so many whites making Metal in SA ???
Apartheid may have gone, but there still is a huge gap in between the black and white population. At Metal concerts you will NOT see black people. I've got a good friend there and he says it will take some decades for both races will blend, if they ever... Guess Iced Fear can confirm this ??
