Southern Metal Vocals

How are they done? Other than yelling at the top of your lungs...
I'm looking into doing harsher metal vocals for a techno/metal project of mine...And this style would seem to fit but I don't know how to do 'em.

i cant really answer your question, i cant do them very well. there is a band hosted on here called rebel collective. you should ask those guys. theyre a southern metal band from sweden

That's a shout with a little growl in it, sounds like. Learn proper shouting technique and then add a little throat. Later on he uses legit singing, and then lame growls.

I dont know.... thats gotta take alot of talent and you probably have to be from.... the south....
