Ive been listening to The Gathering all weekend, its one of the best, if not THE best, thrash albums ever! Everyone go buy it!

The vocals ruled, the guitars sound crushing (Eric Peterson is my new hero! ) and the drums are unbelieveable (Dave is freakishly good, especially now you can hear everything properly, on Slayers albums the production was never good for the drums)

Demonic is next now

My god this album rocks my world so much, Im going to go listen to it again

To anyone who might know, is Chuck Billy doing well? He has throat cancer and last I heard he was getting better, is that still that case?

I think Chucks all but fully recovered. At his last check-up I believe there was no sign of the cancer remaining.
James Murphy has had good news too, radio-therapy won't be needed at this stage..

I have been meaning to get "The Gathering" for ages now, but have been a bit low on funds...

How does it rate against "Low" and "Demonic"??

I dont have Demonic yet, but its miles better than Low (and I really like Low! )
