Christmas is for kids who like surprises, getting presents and being the centre of attention. All those things make me uncomfortable for some reason.

Also there'll be one very empty chair round our Christmas table since my grandmother died six months back, so I'm being dragged out to "celebrate" with family friends. Quite frankly, I'd rather crawl across broken glass with my fly unzipped...
