speeding up .wav

You can do that in any DAW.....

But are you looking to preserve pitch?

Or do you care if it sounds like alvin and the chipmunks...

The only products that do a good job at that are pretty expensive like Melodyne... Although, you could try stretching it, which as you said makes it sound deeper, then use one of those freeware pitch shifting plugins to raise the pitch.... It would probably sound very processed though after all that.

Ok, I might be just being stupid here, but if you're speeding up a wav, you're effectively making it shorter, right? So why would speeding it up make it sound like Andre The Giant? And why would you stretch it? And since Travis said the pitch needs to come up too, if he uploads the wav, any of us with Cubase/PT can just load it in and shorten it.

Shit my head got turned in knots. I get what he was saying though. Which is why I made the chipmunks comment. But then he said he tried it and it was like Andre. So I thought he changed his wording.... :ill::hypno::ill:

I need a break.
