Not to ruin plot details for anyone that hasn't seen the movie, but I was so dissapointed after watching this. They hyped it to the fucking max, and it just failed to deliver.

The only characters with memorable performances were harry osborne, and the french waiter cameo by bruce campbell.

Fight scenes were great and over the top, what you'd expect from a marvel film, but they took the original story lines and threw them out the fucking window.

I could give a shit about the half assed love story line. I wanted more on the black suit, how it enhanced his powers, more venom. Fuck, throw in Carnage while you're at it.

Topher Grace was the WORST character choice for venom. Eddie Brock needs to be a bad ass.

I haven't seen it yet, but pretty much all the reviews I've read are agreeing on it disappointing; So many things going on that a quality plot went out the window.

yeah I was dissapointed, I agree...just as with the 2nd one...Bruce Campbell's cameo stole the whole show. He was awesome.

Totally agree. It sucked. I cringed throughout half the movie.

Brock was the SAME exact character as Eric Forman. I was almost on the floor whenever he said "what the hell?" exactly like Eric does on That 70's Show. I was expecting the newspaper owner to call him a dumbass, or threaten to stick a foot up his ass.
I thought the newspaper owner's performance was hilarious. Especially when he was taking his pills and the table kept buzzing. Or when the guy was sucking up to him, and he said "get out".
The materdei role was hilarious.

Emo Peter was the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen. Especially when he was trying to act like some greaser with his collar up, dancing in the street etc.
Or when he first became emo, and girls were checking him out. Last thing we need is more emoness to be encouraged!

MJ was nagging throughout the whole movie. I almost wanted to scream out "Owned" during the jazz club scene.

Venom was so very pointless. I don't read comic books at all, but even I know that he is a major character.

i wasn't disappointed.

because i had no expectations for the movie and, therefore, didn't see it.

my brother wants to see it, so at least i'll have like 2 hrs of reading time in the theater.

Another scene that almost had me on the floor laughing was the scene on the the bridge with Peter and MJ after Harry had a talk with her. It was so poorly done, the whole theater cracked up

Kirsten Dunst is just really whiny and bitchy. They shouldve added Felicia Harding into the story. Couldve done that angle. OR make the sandman part a little shorter and added some more fights with venom.

They needed a bodybuilder to play brock. He was supposed to be a badass

What the hell? In addition to a crap plot, and not enough Venom, this film also advocates Emo-ism? major nuts to that, I'll wait for the next one.

It was truly shocking. Given the past love affair I've had with Raimi's work, I felt pretty betrayed. In Scottish terms, the film was pure fuckin gash.

The movie didn't progress any either. It felt like it started, went nowhere, then he's trying to get rid of the alien outfit, big fight, the end.

The idea was great, but they crammed two movies into one. This movie turned into a horrible romance movie with crammed-in action sequences.

Venom wasn't around long enough.

At least the Bruce Campbell scene was jolly good.

I spoke to a co-worker who saw it and he called it a turd. The 3rd movie always seems to suck :(

you're kinda right. return of the jedi wasn't bad, but a definite step down. terminator series. i think aliens 3 was a step down...
on the other hand, i dug batman forever
i love all the mad max movies, but beyond thunderdome MAY have been a step down. can't remember.

No he wasn't much bigger than a normal human.
Yeah i guess the movie was pretty shitty. The action scenes were pretty good, though. Way too much Peter Parker crying scenes.

That's what I thought.

There is absolutely no point to having Venom if he's not god damn huge.

So stupid, you know they could've done it. I hate it when they do things like that because they think they have to dumb it down or mix it up for the general public.
