Spin-off: The Symphony X guitar tabs game...

Mr Fast, it was a bit tricky. I took it from one of my tabs (oops, I hope MPA didn't hear this.) :D

Here's another one since no one has sent anything.

Code:

^ Correct. That riff is tabbed incorrectly in most tabs. Nevertheless, mine's probably not 100% correct either. :D

Cool, how about this one?

Code:

That would be if your guitar was tuned standard. If it was dropped, then it would be 2 fretts higher. (I'm a stickler for details:erk: , and that's probably my favorite Symphony X riff ever to play.)

i lot of people tab symphony x songs in drop D tuning i find, so thats probably why he's got it this way. common mistake.

Here's another one. It goes in 5/4 as you can notice by counting the Hs and Qs.

Code:
Track 1
     H.           Q    Q       H.           Q    Q
D||-------------------------|-------------------------|
A||-------------------------|-------------------------|
F||--7------------7----7----|--7------------7----7----|
C||--7------------8----8----|--7------------6----6----|
G||--5------------5----5----|--5------------5----5----|
D||-------------------------|-------------------------|

   H.            Q     Q        H.            Q     Q
----------------------------|----------------------------||
----------------------------|----------------------------||
--10------------10----10----|--10------------10----10----||
--10------------11----11----|--10-------------9-----9----||
---8-------------8-----8----|---8-------------8-----8----||

Correct, but the pattern remains the same so it's valid. :p
I just copied it off Mantabaar's GP tab anyway.

I give up 1by4by9. Here's mine:

OK, the riff I posted is from Sea Of Lies, it's the riff backing the first solo just before the chorus. I'm quite sure I've got it right.

I listened it once again and I'm very sure it's played that way. Not sure about the fingerings or if Romeo uses plain power chords instead of those D5 and F5 chords, though. But I'm sure there are those diminished fifths. :)
