I could directly ask him about it on instagram or twitter because from what I've seen he usually answers people but I don't like calling people out about those kind of things especially since he's probably disappointed about it. I don't have Instagram, but since he talked about it so much and then just disappeared I think you could innocently ask him if he's still doing it.
