Here's some infamous keyboard drumming with Slate's vintage kit.
Its not a metal sound, but I really liked it and though I could make a little video of how it sounds.

I quite like the kick, toms, and cymbals, but that snare sounds so out of place for a 'vintage' kit. Sounds like it was transient designed and compressed a ton to get that much snap and attack out of it.

+1, shoulda used a duct-taped wallet on that SNR.

I agree.
There are some more vintage kits though. And a little trick I learned with the 3.5 version was to raise the attack envelope a bit, then the transient gets dampend

I updated from 3.5 and its all worth the money. Really happy with it so far. I also like the new engine.
