I think it'd be cool to share. Grab them here

All these expansions sound really cool but I can buy only one and I'd tend to pick up the CLA. For you which one worth it more among CLA, Terry Date, Blackbird and David Bendeth?

Just the pulled the trigger on Blackbird :) (I already have the TD and CLA expansions)

I did a little demo between the Terry Date and CLA a while back, can look them up and to the do the same with Blackbird?
From what I heard the David Bendeth was bit of a disappointment

Thinking about snagging the blackbird drums. Almost mainly for the rooms and the chamber

Skip the Bendeth pack. I regret paying for it. 1 kick, 2 snares. Usable as a blend, but not worth the price. CLA pack is cool, it has a certain character.
I'm thinking about getting Blackbird, is it worth it? Seems like a nice natural sounding pack.

I get such mixed advice/vibes on here about drum samples. Seems most of the time we are talking about just using a one shot behind the real drum for impact and consistency. I own a shitload of samples. (slate etc.) But on any of my projects ive never used anything other than a one shot blended underneath. What are you guys doing with the large multi tracked sample packs? I mean i get it if we are talking about programmed/midi drums, but how are you guys incorporating these sample packs into your live kits?

That's right, I find myself using more and more one shot samples just to get more punch out of real drums but I also I find many uses for large multi velocity samples such as ghost notes replacing/reinforcing, replacing sounds from MIDI parts as you said or simply having a wide choice of velocities to reinforce a real snare, tom, etc. in every situations. I program quite often drum parts these days using EZ drummer and (I may get insulted for that ahah!) I don't like Metal Machine, Made Of Metal (I like it more tho) enough to keep these samples on the final product. I always end by replacing with more natural sounding samples.

I use one-shots to help with well-recorded drums and the full samples to more heavily augment the sound of shittily-recorded drums.

Source good? Add impact via one shots

Source bad? Make good via multisamples, add impact via one shots.

I have the CLA samples - you can skip them, you're not missing out on anything. Get these instead: http://vrmusicgroup.com/product/everything-bundle/

Definetly going to get those!
I think I'd preferred those to Made of Metal.. :O
But I need to play around more with the EZD packs.

I bought "ILIO Sample Libraries: Double Platinum Drums" for $3 off of eBay yesterday, hope they sound good, can't find any audioclips. According to their website they cost $129..

Anyone got the blackbird ones?

I listened to the clips and it sounds really good for rock/pop stuff. I think I'll grab it mostly for rooms, they sound fantastic to me!

EDIT - Purchased and I can confirm: the rooms sound absolutely killer. Some snares will certainly be among my fave ones. Also I'm testing the VRM everything bundle and it's ridiculously awesome. I love the natural vibes in there and I was a good idea to include the unprocessed files as well. I recommand.
