Steve Vai, Blackhawk, and Cryptopsy w/ Cattle Decapitation

dude! i said "in the US" not "the world". and i dont care about any other top-notch bands who arent death metal as this is Opeth's forum and they are a death metal band. Just as you posted in your prog thread, i was doing the same here - hoping for new stuff. all we did was post in each others threads. ha!

....it just saddens me that the fucking Korn thread has some 650,000 posts while others go unnoticed. oh well.

i know you said in the US...i was just saying that this forum has members from all over the world, and even if its not about cryptopsy or in the USA, theres a possible similar subject that could be made from and about somewhere else, which doesnt necessarily get posted. so i tried to diagnose why that might be. i wasnt getting down on you at all. And i do agree, that the Korn thread is absurd, and this one should definitely have more posts if any logic was to be found. but i guess that one has one tiny ingredient this one doesnt (which makes this forum go round most the time): controversy. :erk:

I'm defintely seeing the Cryptopsy San Diego show with Cattle Decapitation and the Autumn Offering. Finally...I don't have to drive up to LA to see a show that's 21 and up in SD. Flo and Lord Worm will tear it up!

@Dorian...Korn will always be more popular than even the most successfull death metal band. But I'm glad you liked it, I'm looking forward to it...a week and a half away.

The point here is that on an Opeth message board, one would expect other Opeth fans to have decent tastes in music. The nu-metal majority should not be dominating here.

Amen to that! So will you be like me and drive up to Santa Ana anyway for the April Dark Tranquility show?

There's a video residing somewhere on the net of a very dodgily filmed drum solo by Flo... it rips da shit. Nuff said.

I already ordered my ticket for the Key Club in West Hollywood...I love that venue. I'm contemplating on attending another show possibly the santa ana one...that tour should fucking rule.

^ i have dial-up. useless for such things. thanks though. will be getting some of their albums today if i can find them.
i have another question: how close have you guys been to players at a concert? i was so close to Jon Lavoissuer that I could reach out and touch his guitar (not that I did). it was fucking awesome. then i was told to move away. :(
has anyone noticed some security changes since dimes death? i wouldnt know as ive always been somewhere in the middle of the floor at concerts. any of you guys able to get that close to the musicians lately? just curious. im gonna try and do it at my next concert.

Risquit...ill be at the santa ana dark tranquillity show...we should meet and shoot the shit and whatnot if youre going to be there. chris, you too if you end up going to that one as well or something.
