ashlee simpson is the perfect example of what Anthrax hates about the state of music in the U.S. Anyway, I just switch the channel when I see her. Just don't give her any sort of support and she'll go away. Yet everyone is intrigued to watch

She´s like AIDS, it´s hard to ignore once it breaks out. Ashlee should be listed as a virus (and her sis too).
i don't have that much of a problem with jessica simpson. she started singing and wanted to be in the entertainment biz when she was young and she actually worked her way up. plus she actually can sing. no one would give a damn about ashlee simpson if it wasn't for her big sis. she's basically riding jessica's coat tails.

Their hearts are in the right place, and that kind of music opens up the doors for these kids to listen to other punk bands. Yeah, Blink 182 and Good Charlotte may not be the punk we grew up with, but it sure as beats the days when hair metal owned the air waves for instance. I guess I don't "hate" any music, I just not to listen to it, and I'm not gonna criticize someone who does. There are many other ways for me to piss people off.lespaulbass666 said:

I've come to realize that male teachers are a whole different breed of people. They love to rock out and party.

btw: Blink had Bad Religion as theire opening act 2 years ago!!so they know theire punkroots!
I think Ashlee Simpson has stumbled into a great marketing tool. People love to see celebrities get humiliated, so anytime she performs on TV it's going to get big ratings. People will watch just to see her fuck up and be horrible. Whether that will translate into ticket and CD sales, who knows. The answer is probably yes because the people who are buying this type of music could care less if she really isn't talented. All I want from her is to keep singing live in front of hostile crowds so I can laugh my ass off. I actually have to thank Ashlee because I was feeling suicidal during the Orange Bowl, and her performance with the audience reaction lifted my spirits greatly. So kudos to that hawk-nosed, coat tail-riding, screeching mess.
How about William Hung? The dude who sold cd's as the worst American Idol guy...he actually sold cd's! If that works, I think you can get some from her, and if not, at the very least there are some 40,000 preteen girls in the world who don't know she fucked up yet.
