strange cpu work with nuendo

i'm having the same problems with an m-audio 410 firewire... if u're there bob this the reason why i'm stuck with the band.. since i've tried different pc's and it's still the same i have to assume this might be caused by the audio interface cuz when i open the same project with the integrated soundcard there's no problem.... no matter how powerful the pc is

the cpu display in nuendo increases until its 100% even i don't work and have the program open. there must be something very wrong.

Did you try other DAWs or perhaps reinstalling nuendo? Is there anything else running o firewire (if yes then it's probably running on the same bus)? Are there any clicks on the maximum latency?

in the beginning its quickly increasing and decreasing. sometimes to 100% then it falls back to round about 50%. and then it starts all over again....

i've tried cubase 3 sx and had the same problems. the only firewire system i have is the satellite, the audio card.
the clicks appear even outside the daw i just heard!!! when i minimize the wmplayer, i just had such a metallic sounding effekt after booting the pc. sounded like the music stuck for a millisecond....

first, run the RegClean1394 patch:

I've done that, but without any result. its very strange because the cpu display is going up to 100% after a while. mostly when i check this forum or e-mails. after ~5 minutes or so...
