Strings\Scale\Tune

Just ordering my new strings now, the 7 (C7 Blackjack, 26.5", Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb) is getting a 12-15-19-30-44-56-80 setup and the 6 (Dean ML with Dimarzio Dual Sound, 24.75", C#-F#-B-E-G#-C#) is getting 11-15-19-33-43-53, because I don't feel like doing a custom set.

Christ how do you guys with 25"ish scale necks tune to B with a 56? I can't get the low B to tune properly unless I use a .70.....

That being said, I use GHS boomers, .11-.70

Yeah, I used to think Loomis's 70 on the low Bb was excessive considering most 7 sets go to 60, but I'm using that now and I still want things tighter.

All you guys using 7 string sets on 6 strings, check out the Zakk Wylde GHS 6 string set. It runs 60 to 9 or 10 or some shit. It's got the thick ass top strings, but a comfy bottom 3 for leads. Pretty good set, and he has a six string set starting with a 70! I use the Zakk Wylde 60 set on my Gibson FLying V tuned B to B, I use the Ernie Ball Skinny top Heavey bottom set 10-52 for C to C on my Schecter , I use the ERnie ball Hybrid set 9-46 for D to D and C to D on my Ibanez', and a standard set 9-42 for standard Ibanez'.

I have to use 2 sets of strings to make my 7 set, I use GHS zakk zylde 11-70 and GHS boomers 10-52. Does anyone have tips where to order single strings or custom sets for a nice price?? Preferably from europe to avoid extra costs. This far I've been ordering from Thomann.de
