Well, I've been using Thomastik-Infeld powerbright heavy-bottoms for years... but, they just weren't heavy enough for tuning to C in, without them just being spaghetti-loose.. and I've decided I was tired of that shit.

So I tried a set of DR's and they were ok... nothing great...

I had heard a few years back about these Pyramid strings being about on par with Thomastik... so I saw they made a set from 12-56... and figured, I'd try them out...

They're fuckin badass. The mids and highs on them are really well pronounced... and the sound just jumps off the strings...

They're like $13 a set, but, well worth it, if you can find them... they're right on par with Thomastiks, being better than any D`Addario's, Markleys and Balls I've ever played...

D'darrio's have never let me down, so I stick with them mainly.

Same here, for ages i was using Deam Markley and then switched to D'addario's and havent played any other strings since, definately bang for your buck.
Give them another try, you might've got a dud pack or sumin.

There was really never anything wrong specifically with them or the DR's... they're just not as strong as Thomastik's or Pyramids... you guys gotta try those things.
