Hello guys,
I need advice from more experienced people on this one. So here we go:
I've recorded 6 songs with my band recently and now I'm stuck in the mixing process. All of this has been done pretty much the cheapest possible way (using Presonus Firepod / loads of Shure SM57s & 58s aso.) in a very dead-sounding room.
Guitars: LTD EC1000VB -> Peavey 6505+ -> Engl Standard E412 SS Cab -> Mic 1: Shure SM57 / Mic 2: Audio Technica AT3035 -> Presonus Firepod
Now, while I quite like the guitars and the mix in general when listening at home on my monitors, I think it's sounding really crap when listening in my car or in the studio of a firend of mine (eventho he says it wouldn't sound all that bad).
Now, I would really appreciate if some people on this board could have a listen and tell me what doesn't work at all cause I'm just totally lost right now. I'm especially worried about the guitars. Also, the very low-end of the whole mix seems to be wrong. Maybe I should start from scratch?
