Hello everyone,

I just had an idea. I love hearing about the process that people go through while recording and what they do to each part, mix placement Processing and everything and I thought it would be cool for people to do little studio diarys of the process of recording a song from a recent or upcoming or current project. Posting individual instrument tracks, maybe processed and unprocessed and parts of mixes, and maybe pictures, whatever is interesting, and then the final product. People could comment on things that were off, or bad or whatever, and learn things. If people think it would be cool, I'd be happy to start, I'm working on a demo for a friends band, and a full length for my own band so I could start.

I would love to see how some of you guys go about a typical recording. Maybe it's just a bad idea though. :ill:

Studio Dairy... I too would like to know how much milk Andy uses on a daily basis... and is it sheep milk.

I think you meant to say DIARY, Sin Meph.

I hope we've all made worse mistakes... I just thought Studio Dairy had a nice ring to it.

As Mr. T says... Don't do school, stay in milk, and drink your drugs.

Im hopefully going to be doing my bands EP soon and will be going through a completely different recording process, so i will probably do one!

Ill keep you updated as we start the project.

I don't think any producer will ever have time to do so then, lol :D

Haha, well you're a REAL producer. (cool diary though!) I personally have some time on my hands, so I could do it pretty easily. :)

I'm keeping one for my bands recording sessions on my own blog page. Rather than get too techy (as most of my readers won't care too much about that) I'm trying for the humourous random facts and information angle instead.

Bouncing an ancient thread here but thought that would be better than clogging up the board with a new one :p
