efx/amp sims/ir loader all in one floor pedal.. has anybody tried it?
thinking about getting this.

I've heard clips and tbh I don't see the point spending 600 when you could easily buy tse x50 or recabinet and obtain better results for much cheaper.

The clips I've heard of it make me think I'd probably just go with a Pod HD500x for about the same price if I needed a live solution in the 500 range.

The Line 6 can't load IRs,and the cabs suck. The Amplifire can load IRs,which makes all the difference in the world.

That's true but I'm talking about live when the difference is nominal to most audiences not to mention the Line6 has better effects. I wouldn't use either if I was doing a recording and I'm not a Line6 fan by any means...just saying where I'd put my $500 if I needed to.

I owned an AxeFX as well and for me I'd still go with a cheaper unit for most live situations unless I was touring large venues or something. For recording I use software or mic a real amp.

I'm just saying I haven't heard anything mind-blowing from the Amplifire that would convince me to go with it over other units in that price-range. Honestly, I've been underwhelmed with most of what I've heard from it- especially for metal. I've never heard it in person though so I could change my opinion. I look forward to hearing something impressive from it that isn't someone playing blues on a clean channel talking about "tube feel".
