This is a completely different studio than the last one with the ghost, Spidey. The one we were at is no longer at that location, but to be honest, I am SOOoo much happier with the results we are getting at this session in ALL areas than the last one!! We have some outstanding engineering going on and it is just making all of us so happy with every track that is put down.

Studio progress report of the day: All guitars for song # 1 DONE. All guitars for song # 2 DONE. Did I mention how amazing our two guitarists work together??? Until tomorrow!

Having been in the Military and having tried to use Gas masks at various places like Cat Holes, I can assure you that they DO NOT work for smell... :Smug:

Studio report for the day: vocals for 2 songs are DONE!!!! That was some record speed tracking Aja!!! Damn! You really ARE da bomb!! (like THAT was any secret huh!??) She got them done so quickly we were outta there in a half day!

Studio update for the day!

ALL guitars are DONE! I gotta tell you, there was some amazing soloing going on in that studio today! I can't wait for everybody to hear it!

I was sooo tired last night just from watching those girls lay it down like a well oiled machine that I didn't have the energy to share how amazing it was to just watch and listen as the fingers flew. You knew when Sara was really feeling it and was getting a great take- she got big air - both feet off the ground!!! Holy COW!!!

Oh and our modest Miss Nikki neglected to mention her stellar debut on backing vocals for one of the songs! (Another hint for ya'll... )

That kicks ass!!! I can't wait to hear Linda's back-up's properly. I can kinda hear her on some of Jim's videos but not very well. How she can sing AND play drums at the same time (especially THAT kind of drumming) is really amazing!!!

Ya, even though Bruce usually does most of the backing vocals on Maiden's recordings, the girls do such a great job in the show that I wanted to have them join me on the backing vocals. I was getting lonely in that booth all by myself!

As an added bonus you'll get to hear both Linda and Sara on another - it was a blast doing the backing vocals with my girls! And they did a wonderful job! We banged it out in one pass!

You'll also hear a taste of Sara's signature cookie monster voice yet again on one of the songs. It's fun adding our own little touches to the music we love so well. We're coloring outside the lines!

What a whirlwind - All recording DONE !!! We're heading in to the home stretch here with mixing next on the list!

Actually, they do work for smell. They don't block all odors, but they do block many (remember the banana odor test that the NBC guys use to test the mask?). I've used mine quite a few times to filter out my teammates farts in my commo van. I guess my teammates' farts must be tame compared to the people you know!

Like me, her solo stuff is very different from what she is doing with the band. And like Adrian, she also sings - and has quite a pretty voice! Once she gets more comfortable with the guitar aspect of her chair you'll be hearing more of it in the shows. I'm sure.
