I got a chance to buy me a pair of the classic NS-10 monitors this friday.
Installed them today togheter with a poweramp from Advanced Acoustics.

Also, some new mics has arrived. Neumann KM184 stereopair, and AKG C414 TL II ULS (c12 cap)

Cant fit them sideways dude! :) i need a bigger studio

All kidding aside there are two types of NS-10's the first were released look like yours. You can read Yamaha when they are vertical. They are made to use vertically and they are supposed to be that way.

The second were the Ns10s "s" for studio, and were made to be horizontally positioned. You can read the Yammy logo when they are horizontal. Not saying you cant place things however but thats my understanding of how they were designed.

I have a pair of these originals as well. One of my tweeters is blown so I can't really use them right now until I replace it. They are pretty good at getting that all important "vocal" frequency range sitting just right.

I like your set up. I have Genelec's too.

:)

Then you better get a good supply of tissue paper for those tweeters and take lots of breaks. :goggly:

Seriously the high end can fatigue you fast! And the woofers have a tendency to blow as I'm sure you know. So watch the woofer movement and make sure its not being pushed to hard. I know you can get nice mixes with them!
