sub bass kickbomb sample

Use an audio editor to make a sine wave at around 40 or 50 hz. Make the sample about 1 second long, then fade it out at whatever length you want. Then save it and trigger it with Drumagog or something similar. Works like a charm.

that's basically what i did, but it doesnt sound as punchy, and have that sonic sound like the one in that clip

I heard from an friend of mine, he recorded such lowbass things hitting an empty plastic coke bottle with the fist.
allegedly through the small hole in the bottle there was a lot of punch....
but never heard it by myself, so don´t know how if it worked well ;)

+1

I always just setup a sound generator in ProTools then used the key input on a compressor to trigger it on and off though I don't use it often and would imagine the drumagog approach would probably work better for fast double kicking parts.

...808 kick drum... maximum decay, set the tunining how low you want it.... also for a cool effect you can tune it on the fly so it gets lower....

sometime i find you have to fade the initial transient a bit because all you really want is the sub not the attack....

propellorheads rebirth is a great source, i think it's free now too.

Hope that helps,
