Sunday Subcyde Soundclip, ENGL and savage and shit...

Since everyone put up their cool soundclips of their ENGL in action, I have to share mine aswell. We're in the middle of recording our new album, and twice a year I make a post in the Sneap forum with a clip, cause I always get great pointers from the guys that hang here...

Anyway here's the clip:

As always I want pointers on how to progress in my mixing and how to improve the mix.

try lower gain ) and shift down guitars -2 - 4 db

I like the riffs and flow a lot. Very nice. Guitar sound very raw, which is cool for that style of music. Drums are too low in the mix and sound a bit "garage-y", which could be cool or could be shit depending on the final song arrangement and vibe you are going for.

I disagree with the advice to lower the gain. The grittyness is cool here, imho.

And ATM is of course a great songtitle (have been working on an electro song with the same title for a few months)!!

Anyway those guitars are really great, fat and heavy!

bad mp3 bitrate! Sounds heavy... something I don't like about ENGL though...
maybe too much bands are playing ENGL in germany
but I really liked them mixed with another amp!

Lower the gain, maybe filter off some of that high end fizz, bring the guitars down.

sorry guys, I saw that the EQ on the guitars was bypassed so they where unprocessed on the first clip. I updated the clip with the correct setting, and I lowered the guitars aswell..
