Having some trouble, just doing some EQ'ing.

They sound so toyish in a sense. :zombie::zombie:

I slap on an hpf at 400-500 and do a tiny tiny tiny bit of shelving at 5-6khz - that's it!

Use the Ride Punch cymbals instead. They're larger.

They sound good to me with a high pass and a bit of treble boost. Maybe try compressing the ambient mics and mixing those in, or you could try a transient designer on the OHs for more sustain.

pass at maybe 500 and pass at 12,000 and compress to taste.
