Superior Drummers Sensitivity ????????

Brady k

Punish Them
i have S2 and i use it with my roland td-3 mod- when i change anything on my mod it wont make a difference because the samples are being run or triggered by S2,
when i just play around and use the roland samples the sensitivity is just fine , i dont have to smash them to get the right sound , but when i use S2 the sensitivity really changes ,,

i am wondering if there is a way to adjust the sensitivity because i have to really hit the toms and kick hard for them to sound good ,, i have watched several videos on youtube and everyone just hits the toms lightly and they make the full sound ,, i have been using my heaviest sticks and even holding them backwards so they are heavy enough to make the full tom sound ,,

if anyone can help me that would be great ,,,

thanks guys !

I posted this a while back in XLN Audio's forum for Addictive Drums, but I'm sure a lot of the information will still come in handy.

I use a TD-3 so maybe I can help.
First, load up your Host and Addictive Drums.
Connect your TD-3 module to your audio interface via MIDI (use a MIDI cable - or even a MIDI to USB cable if you don't have an audio interface).
Turn on your TD-3 module. Select a Drumkit using the +/- keys that you will use just for AD.
Once you've selected a free drumkit bank, press EDIT. The EDIT button should flash and the light below the HI-HAT indicator will be lit up (above the BEAT label). Keep pressing EDIT until that light moves under the TOM2 label (NOTE#). Now tap your snare and see what numbers appear in the main display on your module. Change this value using the =/- keys to trigger different drums in AD. So for example, my snare triggers AD's snare when I set the NOTE# to 38. Repeat this process for the entire kit (remember that your crashes may have two trigger zones) and when finished, hit the DRUM KIT key on your module to exit editing mode and save your changes.

Now just use the same principal for the Pad Sensitivity option on the module, I hope this helps.
If all else fails, read the instructions that came with your TD-3.

It explains velocity control in the manual. Look near the bottom right of the GUI.
