Sweden, now and then

It seems like the melodeath scene which sweden has been known for coming on a decade is losing its relevance, but I just realized that a lot of the new top-notch innovative brutal death is going to start coming from there. Bands like Spawn of Possession, Visceral Bleeding, Aeon.
Damn has anyone heard Aeon? They are fucking unreal. Like immolation meets morbid angel while still retaining a large amount of individuallity. www.aeon666.com

Yeah, Spawn Of Possession are awesome. Their music is very tecincal and fast and they play really tight. I love technical death metal. Another great new band from Sweden, though not as technical, is Insision. They play American style death metal.

well the reason Sweden is losing it's releveance in Death metal is very simple: all the Death metal bands have decided to try and sound like bad american aggro metalcore. This also very amusing, as every shitty US metalcore band has been trying to sound like a Swedish death metal band for the last 3 years as well, making both groups of bands sound EXACTLY THE SAME.
