I wanna switch the 4 speakers of my 4x12 ENGL cab, seeing it's a lot cheaper just changing the speakers instead of getting a new cab...

question is, I've never opened my cab so is it any difficult to switch the speakers or is there something I gotta bear in mind when doing so?

Hmm, I would say it's retardedly easy, except that they're front-mounted in that cab - if the front grille is removable, though, then yes, retardedly easy :) Just disconnect the two wires on each speaker, put in the new speakers, and connect them. Oh, and make sure that the V30's you get have the same impedance as the V60's you're replacing. What the hell is a V60, anyway? I don't see it on Celestion's site...

Yeah I also don't see it on their site. But the ENGL Std. cab edition is indeed loaded with V60's..atleast that's what the manual says..

v60 sound a lot like the stock 1960 marshall cab speakers.

do you know what is crazy? if you buy 4 speakers at thomann, it's actually more expensive than buying the hb cab with 4 v30 loaded. if you can't find those v30 cheaper than 129,- € I would consider buying the hb cab, so that you can put those v60 into the hb cab. just my two cents.

Hmm, not a bad idea - the only issue would be potentially having to rewire the cab if the impedance on the V30's in the Harley Benton is different than the V60's in the Engl. If not, though, you're in awesome-ville.
